Designed to blend with the C2-5000 Series:-
Replicating the C2-5000 Series 'look', the A2-2000 is housed in a black metal 19" 1 Unit Rackmount casing that blends well with other units in a rackmount environment. It can be used as a Desktop unit if preferred, by removing detachable ears.
Complete sound & vision integration:-
The A2-2000 is a 10-Input Stereo Audio Switcher that adds Audio Follow Video or Audio Breakaway capabilities to both the C2-5100 and the C2-5200. It connects to the units with a 15-Pin D socket which provides power and control functions. All commands originate in the control software of the
C2-5000 Universal Scaler unit being used and the microprocessor communicates with the A2-2000 Stereo Audio Switcher.
A high level of flexibility:-
To cater for all types of situations, Balanced or Unbalanced stereo connections can be achieved via either 10 high impedance stereo inputs in the form of screw terminal connectors, or 10 stereo phono inputs. The volume can be adjusted by +/- 15dB for each input as can the left and right balance control, with the option too of 'mute' for the volume. To attain that extra high quality sound, low impedance output buffers are also part of the technology.
Giving you the control:-
To ensure quality sound and vision integration, there is a 'Program' stereo output, on both phono and screw-terminals, which switch to follow the C2-5000 Universal Scaler's main video output. The facility of Preview output too on both phono and screw-terminals means that almost seamless sound and vision matching can be achieved.
